Srinagar 29 May (KNO) : Paying tributes to Aasia and Neelofar on their 9th anniversary, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has accused New Delhi of denying Kashmiris justice even in matters where Indian state has been always claiming to be taking high moral ground.

In a statement issued today Er. Rasheed said that the failure of the system to bring murderers of Aasia and Neelofar to justice has exposed the investigating agencies as well as the political dispensation. Er. Rasheed said “Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti needs to be reminded of her pro-active role during the times when incident took place in Shopian but after becoming Chief Minister she maintained criminal silence. Her disappointing attitude has raised question mark on the credibility, will and sincerity of all those who are in the power corridors or who do believe in the system.

People cutting across political, regional and religious affiliations were expecting something concrete at least in Aasia and Neelofar’s case from Mehbooba Mufti for her much pro-active role at the time of incident and being herself from the women folk, but unfortunately she has not only failed herself but the entire main stream is genuinely under fire for compromising over the issue”.

Er. Rasheed asked Mehbooba Mufti to give a thought to take the unfortunate incident to its logical end. He also condemned forces for creating hawk in Shopian and other places and not sparing even the orchards. Er. Rasheed said “The security agencies seem to be leaving no stone unturned to take revenge from anything that comes their way.

The claims of tolerance and respect for Ramdhan seem to have proven nothing but cruel jokes”. Er Rasheed said that after an IED attack army has damaged at least 60 houses, vehicles, apple trees and other properties and there are even allegations of looting cash and other valuables from the ill fated houses of those were targeted for none of their fault. He said throwing to spoil the food items ,that too in the holy month of Ramzan, is not only condemnable but in contradiction with the cease fire claims made by the central government and army command.

He said that the father of Hizb commander Zeenat ul Islam is right saying that if his son, or any other militant for that matter, has left home three years ago to attack or to be attacked by the forces why should innocent family members be given the punishment for none of their fault. Expressing sympathy with all the victims families Er. Rasheed demanded punishment to the forces involved in the criminal act and sought due compensation for the victims.
